And while it will probably be pretty one-sided on the performance aspect, the other one might just prove invaluable to recession-hit people out there. So, here you have it.

The smaller brother, Samsung G3, comes in at 27 inches, with a Full HD resolution and a sweet 144Hz refresh rate. It’s enough for those who plan to play esports releases such as CS:GO or League of Legends without wasting much of the sticky dollar bills. Plus, with AMD FreeSync Premium technology and a 1ms response time, you’ll react to in-game developments faster than a cheetah on roller skates.
Now, onto the Samsung G7. This bully comes in at a larger size of 32 inches with a 1000R curved 2560×1440 resolution screen and a 240Hz refresh rate. That’s right, you heard it correctly, 240Hz! That’s faster than the aforementioned cheetah on roller skates even with a jetpack. Moreover, the G7 has an entire arsenal for unmatched HDR gameplay, with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro killing off the screen tearing and stuttering, and Display HDR600 certification allowing for stunning brightness levels.
Expectedly so, G7 fares better than the G3 in every way. It’s faster, games seem much more smooth, has a greater resolution, and let’s not forget, a QLED panel, which significantly adds to the overall great G7 performance
However, the G3 still has some tricks up its sleeve. Its basic 1920×1080 resolution is more than enough if you don’t plan to play visually demanding releases, and its 144Hz with FreeSync Premium ensures that your frame rate is as high as it can be when it matters most.
The cost completely reflects the difference in specifications and features, which is not surprising at all. On Samsung’s own website, the G7 stands at a considerable $699 for the same 27-inch sizing, while the G3 is on sale at a measly $199. It’s really the question of whether you want the better but expensive, or worse (still solid) but cheaper.
It’s a no-brainer – the G7 defeats G3 on all fronts; resolution, refresh rate, HDR, other features, etc. But it comes at a high price – the G3 is more than three and a half times cheaper than its bigger bro! All we can say is that your savings account gets to decide. Choose wisely, and may luck smile upon you!
