There isn’t all that much difference between these two TVs performance-wise; they are both high-performing OLED TVs. The LG G2 does come with a heatsink where the C2 does not and this allows for a marginally brighter display. In reality though in most conditions you’re not going to notice all that much difference.

The main draw of the more expensive LG G2 is in fact probably its design. LG’s gallery series G2 gets its name because it’s designed to hang on a wall as would a painting, and the G2 does look fantastic set up this way. On the other hand, if you’re not planning on mounting your TV to a wall but placing it on a TV stand or table, you may well be better off going for the C2. The C2 models come with sturdy pedestal stands out of the box whereas the G2’s must be purchased separately and has noticeably more wobble.

The main factor for most people in deciding which of these TVs to purchase will probably be price. The fact that the C2 is both cheaper, and available in smaller variants than the G2, its relative affordability will make it the more appealing option for many. That said if you’re really after the stunning design of the G2 then go for it! A 97″ G2 is also available, so if you want a truly giant tele this is a great option.

In our opinion, the C2 is the better option for most people. It has marginally lower performance than the G2 but is more versatile with its stand and availability in more sizes. That’s not even mentioning the price difference which of course, for many will be the most important factor.

LG C2 vs G2: pricing

It’s always difficult choosing a “best” TV when you have two excellent options in mind. However, one way of determining value for money has to be price.

While the LG G2 offers up plenty of additional features, we mustn’t forget that it drives a much higher price tag – making the C2 far better value for money.

LG G2 vs C2 brightness

One area – and a pretty important one at that – where the G2 excels is its peak luminance levels.

One issue that has plagued various OLED TVs in the past has been the luminance levels they provide. Many have asked us whether the LG C2 is bright enough and the answer is often no.

That being said, LG have equipped the G2 with a more advanced OLED panel that features greater heat dissipation – allowing the monitor to be much brighter than the C2.

Is LG G2 sizing better than the LG C2?

If you’re looking for only the best of the best, then there’s no doubt that you’ll be drawn towards the LG G2. For more budget-focused individuals, the LG C2 is definitely a tempting option. Regardless of which category you fall into, there are obviously some pros and cons to figure out.

If you’re going for the G2, then you’re going to have to pick up a model which is 55″ or above – as well as having the benefit of heading all the way to 97″. Imagine a 97 inch display, just in time for the Super Bowl.

The LG C2 offers up to 83″, but also helps out those who don’t require such a big-screen TV by allowing you to drop to 42 inches.
