What is see through mode on the PSVR 2?

Luckily for the people out there after a PSVR 2, Sony has outfitted the headset with a dedicated see-through mode, allowing the user to actually look at the coffee table before it inevitably demolishes their ankle like a razor scooter to the shin.

See through mode works by utilizing the 4 external cameras on the headset, normally they aid in tracking, but see through mode uses them as a direct pass-through, giving you a life and pretty close to 1:1 feed of your surroundings.

You can switch to see through mode with a physical button on the headset, or via the quick settings menu located in the control center, meaning that it’s always available, in case your spidey-sense alerts you to an incoming she from the aforementioned roommate.
