Is the S22 still good in 2024? Undoubtedly, the Galaxy S22 is one of the best Galaxy S series smartphones from Samsung. The South-Korean tech giant launches different iterations of the S series almost yearly. Each one is more stylish and powerful than the last one.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 in 2022, the successor of the Galaxy S21. The S22 was a more successful device in Samsung’s book as the sales number was significantly higher than that of the S21.

As Samsung’s unpacked event for 2023 draws near, the company is set to reveal the Galaxy S23, but from what we know of the S23’s specifications, it’s only a tweak on the existing S22 formula – not a revolutionary leap like the S22 was.

We’ve listed the specifications of both below for you to have a look at, but for a more detailed review we’d recommend you check out our Samsung Galaxy S23 vs S22 page, for the full breakdown.

So, is the Galaxy S22 worth it?

The Galaxy S22 is still undoubtedly a great device that performs well vs the iPhone 14 and vs the Pixel 7. It has one of the top hardware specs from 2022 and a stellar performance, which was admired by many.

The improvements of the new S23 are relatively modest, and this latest variant is expected to cost $100 more than the S22 does. This means the Galaxy S22 is still worth it in our eyes, if you’re after something a bit more affordable.
