Things to consider when finding a Prime Day Router Deal
There’s quite a few basic steps and pieces of advice we can give you when it comes to considering a deal. First and foremost is, “what’s your budget?” It’s such an integral question to pretty much everything you do when it comes to networking. With that main consideration out of the way, the next things we want to consider are more router specific.
The biggy is networking speed. How much bandwidth can you get from your ISP, and is that likely to change? Maybe a contract’s coming up soon? Or they’re doing infrastructure projects in your area. In which case, you might want to upgrade early, and get yourself that swanky new 10Gb router.
Next up, what’s your property like? Do you need a huge wifi area? How many smart networking devices do you have at home? This humble editor has 32 devices connected to his router at any one point, everything from cameras to lightbulbs, tablets to laptops to gaming pcs, and all that in between.
Lastly one final consideration to bear in mind is network cabling as well. If you can get 10Gb and you’re running Cat 5 cable (capped at 1Gb) your data transfers are going to be bottlenecked by your cable, so everything from modem to router to the devices, needs to be running on at least a Cat 7 cable.

How Long Will The Amazon Prime Day Deals Last
Amazon Prime Day has now been confirmed as occurring from the 10th of October and running through to the 11th. You can bet that there’ll be some deals extending past that point from some manufacturers no doubt, but the bulk will be over these two days.
One thing you do need to keep at the forefront of that ol noggin is that no deal lasts forever, ever on Prime Day. If the seller runs out of stock, or decides to pull the deal early, you could see that price disappear quickly. Vice-versa, depending on product popularity, and deal competition, so prices might change sporadically throughout the day as well.
