Right now the Intel Core i7-12700KF CPU is part of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale. It offers plenty of processing power for a lot less, offering you the best CPU for an upgrade or new budget build in general. The Intel CPU part of the LGA1700 socket brings a much more affordable choice for what it has to offer.
As of writing, the i7-12700KF gaming processor has dropped 23% as it gets a tasty Big Spring Deal on Amazon. Bringing down to price to under $200, it might just be 1 cent, but that makes it a great value pick saving you over $61 on the CPU.

Intel’s 12700KF specs are still a great offering considering it’s a mid-range offering. The F suffix tells you that it does not have an integrated GPU onboard, you will want to pair it with the best GPU either way but now you don’t even have a basic output.
Otherwise, the processor offers up 12 cores and 20 threads, with the now split selection of the core make up. It offers up efficiency and performance cores meaning the power draw isn’t too dramatic when performing light tasks, but the powerful picks can spin up quickly.
Of course, the cache doesn’t quite match up to something like the Ryzen X3D CPUs but that still doesn’t mean it’s bad for the job. With the extensive LGA1700 platform now, it does fit in nicely with what is out there such as the best 12th Gen motherboard can be pretty cheap and a DDR4 option doesn’t have to cost a lot at all.
Why this Intel 12th Gen CPU deal is good value
Taking a look at the CamelCamelCamel pricing history shows us what it has been like for the processor. There of course we see the long fall after its release back in 2021. But closer now we see that it has been fluctuating, and the holiday season and sales being the time to buy up.
As we first saw in November 2023, the processor first reached the lowest price of $199 and didn’t quite reach that low again (with a small dip in December) until now. This means this is the perfect opportunity to buy the 12700K before it shoots back up.
