EA Sports FC 24, which is what the FIFA franchise will be called moving forward, has a release date in September, but pre-orders are available now. Whether it’s the Ultimate Edition or Standard Edition of the game, it can be purchased now to ensure players have it as soon as it is made available through Early Access or wide launch. However, it is imperative to get it for the right platform.

Gaming is changing, especially thanks to the rise of next-gen consoles. Additionally, exclusives are becoming more common with Microsoft collecting brands like Infinity Stones and trying to compete with the exclusive games Sony already has. Will EA Sports FC 24 fall victim to the console wars?

Will PS5 get EA Sports FC 24?

Yes, EA Sports FC 24 will be available on PS5. The PlayStation 5 version of the game is up for pre-order now. It’s a next-gen console, so it’s not in danger of being rendered obsolete any time soon. Furthermore, while EA has a good relationship with Microsoft, they are not an exclusive game company and FC 24 is not an exclusive game.

What’s more, the next-gen version of EA FC 24, which is for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, has features that last-gen consoles can’t support. These include dual entitlement, advanced AI, and smoother gameplay.

The PS5 version, which features the same cover star (Erling Haaland of Manchester City) as all the rest, will also have cross-play, where the older versions will not. A PlayStation 5 gamer can link up with an Xbox Series S or a PC and play if they so choose. This version does not support cross-progression, though.

All modes, including career mode, FUT, and more, will be on the PlayStation 5 version.
