When shooting the ball a great distance, it is best to go with accuracy. Whether you are a power header dribbling their way across the field in a controlled sprint or someone who just got the ball, make sure you know how to shoot so you don’t miss the goal.

Understand the attributes of your players so you know who will make the best shot. Players with more power can shoot at greater distances but make sure they are also accurate. Get the ball in your possession and go in for the goal. Here is how to shoot in EA Sports FC 24.

How to shoot in EA Sports FC 24

There are a lot of different shot types in EA FC 24, which features Manchester City star Erling Haaland on the cover. Do you plan on being a trickster and facing people out or do you plan on releasing a series of powerful shots against the defenders? Here’s how you can take every kind of shot in FC:

  • Shoot – Press circle on PlayStation or the B button on Xbox Series X/S
  • Time Your Shot – Press circle twice on PlayStation or press the B button twice on Xbox
  • Low Shot / Downward Header Shot – Press L1, R1, and circle on PlayStation or press LB, RB, and B on Xbox
  • Driven Shot – Press R1 and circle then L1 on PlayStation or press RB and B then LB on Xbox
  • Chip Shot – Press L1 and circle on PlayStation or press LB and B on Xbox
  • Flair Shot – Press L2 and circle on PlayStation or press LT and B on Xbox
  • Finesse Shot – Press R1 and circle on PlayStation or press RB and B on Xbox
  • Fake Shot – Press circle then X plus a direction on PlayStation or press B then A and a direction on Xbox
  • Free Kick: Curled Shot – Press circle on PlayStation or press B on Xbox
  • Free Kick: Driven Shot – Press L1 and circle on PlayStation or press LB and B on Xbox
  • Penalty: Finesse Shot – Press R1 and circle on PlayStation or press RB and B on Xbox
  • Penalty: Chip Shot – Press L1 and circle on PlayStation or press LB and B on Xbox

All the shots are the same whether you are playing male or female athletes. Simply flick the right stick in a direction to help you control the ball better and get a more accurate shot. Some of the speed of the ball will come from your sprint speed so be sure to choose an athlete who is fast. This is valid for Career Mode (player career or manager career), Ultimate Team (FUT), Volta Football, Pro Clubs, and more. Take your scoring to a new level with this.

You can change your playstyle from someone who uses acceleration to score to someone who tries power shots from outside the box. It’s all about finding what works for you. Make sure your first touch is a good one and secure a copy of the game, out on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
