Sometimes you purchase things on a whim which is easy to do in Fortnite. With all the special cosmetics that appear in the battle passes and the allure of V-Bucks on the Epic Games store, it can be hard to resist the urge to spend your hard-earned cash.

In-game currency can be a slippery slope that will lead you to purchase the Llama skin that you soon regret. Luckily, you are able to refund Fortnite currency should you regret buying an item or fail to hit cancel purchase. This guide will show you how to get a refund in Fortnite.

Fortnite – How to refund for in-game purchases

Before attempting to get a refund, it is important to note that each Fortnite player is given three Return Tickets. These are needed to get a refund. If you are out, you won’t be eligible for a return.

To get a refund in Fortnite, follow these steps:

  1. Open Fortnite
  2. Navigate to the main menu in the top left
  3. Click on the settings icon
  4. Select the support & refunds option
  5. Hit the return or cancel purchase option

You can also use an alternate method to get a refund:

  1. Open the settings
  2. Open the account and privacy settings via the silhouette icon
  3. Click return or cancel purchase to bring up all purchases you made in the last 30 days
  4. Click on use return ticket next to the item you want to return

Either of these options will allow you to get a return of the V-Bucks that you spend on unwanted in-game items. This will not refund any real-money purchases. The following items are not refundable:

  • Level Up Quest Packs
  • Gifts
  • Real-money Purchases
  • Battle Pass
  • Battle Pass Tiers
  • Loot Llamas (Save the World)
  • Event and Weekly Items (Save the World)
  • Fortnite Crew Subscriptions

You also cannot get refunded for free skins that you obtained in battle passes.

If you are hoping to get your money back for purchasing V-Bucks, this can only be done under certain circumstances such as a child making an unauthorized purchase. To be if you are eligible for a refund, contact Epic Games.
