When Will The Preview Embargo Lift?

The God Of War Ragnarok preview embargo dates are extremely soon. You’ll be seeing gameplay impressions ahead of the game’s launch, with previews releasing on Friday, October 21st. This might not be too much of a shock to people who have been keeping close tabs on the game, since the game recently reached gold status (meaning that it’s completely finished primary development and is ready to be shipped on the official launch date of November 9th).

Anyway, the game’s previews will be released at the following times:

  • 6:00 AM PDT
  • 9:00 AM EDT
  • 2:00 PM BST
  • 3:00 PM CEST

The long-awaited sequel has been quite a long time coming after Santa Monica Studio’s Decision to make several different delays pushed back the release date repeatedly. You’ll be seeing Kratos, his son Atreus (also known as Loki), Thor,  Freya, and Odin extremely soon (though sadly no Baldur, wonder what happened to that guy). As the ninth installment in the God Of War franchise, expectations are rather high after such a long wait, and this could very well be the pinnacle of the entire franchise so far as you travel through both Midgard and Asgard on your quest.

The latest chapter of Kratos systemically committing a form of genocide will also be the last one in the Norse chapter that started back in 2018. It’s got the potential to be a game of the year contender, though it’ll also have to contend with titles such as Elden Ring to become the all-father of video games and ascend above normal mortal realms.
