MW2 recruit a friend rewards and how to do it

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season3 is finally here – bringing with a host of new content. While there’s plenty of ways to earn XP through grinding or checking out the Battle Pass, once of the easiest ways to earn rewards is by referring friends.

So, how does it work and what do you get? That’s where we come in. Here we go through what you’ll need to do and what’s up for grabs. Finally, we’ll give you our say on whether or not it’s worth your time. Let’s kick things off.

How to refer a friend in MW2

Before starting, you’re going to want to check the eligibility requirements on the official Call of Duty site. We’ve summarized them below for you:

• You need to have an Activision account that is older than 60 days with at least three hours of gameplay logged on Warzone 2.0.
• You must have an Activision account less than seven days old or they must not have played Warzone 2.0 in over 60 days. Upon accepting an invite from you, the person you have recruited will become connected as Activision friends.
• There are some regional restrictions. The following countries are ineligible to participate: Austria, Argentina, New Zealand, Belgium, Peru, Czech Republic, Norway, Ireland, the Philippines, and Poland.

So, once you’ve checked whether you can participate, you’ll next need to make sure you have a valid Activision account. If you don’t, you can create a free one.

To get involved just head to the in-game Message of the Day that has a QR code for the Recruit a Friend website, or visit it directly by clicking here. There’s even a double XP bonus for signing up.

From here, you can join the program to gain access to the Recruiter dashboard and receive a unique code to send to their friends, enlisting up to three eligible Recruits.

Recruit a friend rewards list

As a sign-up bonus, you and anyone who signs up will get a Double Weapon XP Token and one Double Battle Pass XP Token. Note, it just works once for any player. Once connected, you can then complete the following challenges to earn tiered rewards:

• Play 1 game with your Recruit/Recruiter in the squad.
• Complete 7 WZ2.0 Contracts with your Recruit/Recruiter in the squad.
• Get 20 AI kills in DMZ or WZ2.0 in a squad that includes your Recruit/Recruiter.

Recruits who complete the challenges will receive all of the Tier 1 rewards, including a solid black and white SMG Weapon Blueprint, an Emblem, and a Sticker.

Tier 2 and Tier 3 rewards can be completed with your second and third Recruits, featuring additional rewards including a Calling Card; a Loading Screen; a black and white, high-capacity Akimbo Handgun Weapon Blueprint; and yet more Double XP Tokens.

Our view on the program is that it’s an easy and effective way to get at least one Double XP token. So, jump in and try to get at least one token.
