If – like me – you were on a merry stroll on your usual Pokémon Hunt, then suddenly a swarm of Drifloon floated your way, perhaps the first thing you asked yourself was: Is there a shiny one of these balloons?

On the 5th of October, we saw a Drifloon spotlight hour, where no matter where you looked, there were Drifloons a-plenty. The little ghost-type is pretty cute, but maybe you prefer the gloriously golden version of Drifloon. Shiny Drifloon is absolutely splendid to look at and thankfully yes: Drifloon can be shiny in Pokémon Go!

Drifloon and Driblim are a pretty powerful set of ghost-types. They’ve not got a dual-weakness, and have a nice number of resistences. So naturally, you’d like a nice Drifloon on your Pokémon Go team. That being said, you’d hope your shiny Drifloon will have good stats and CP before evolving it. Unless you want a shiny Drifblim for purely aesthetic reasons, then go ahead and feed that balloon 50 candies.
