We now have sight of a State of Play from Sony and it’s time to get excited for the summer and all the announcements we might get. The State of Play was announced on the PlayStation Blog, and also told us this event will focus on the upcoming Final Fantasy 16.

Final Fantasy 16 is set to release on the 22nd of June, so this will likely be the last proper look we will get of the game before we can sit down and play it. Final Fantasy 16 is the first mainline instalment since 2016, in that time we have just had a few remakes, and is also set to become the first proper Final Fantasy built for the PS5. As an exclusive to the platform hopefully it can live up to some of the other great games already released.

So let’s take a look at all we know about this latest State of Play:

When is Sony’s State of Play?

The next State of Play is incredibly soon, taking place on the 13th of April, 2023. It will focus on the latest Final Fantasy from Square Enix and is set to show off around 20 minutes of gameplay.

What time is Sony’s State of Play?

The State of Play is set to begin at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST, and as previously mentioned it will show around 20 minutes of Final Fantasy 16, but not show off anything else. Therefore it’s hard to imagine this State of Play lasting longer than half an hour or so.
