The only thing we need now is a birthday celebration, Surely there’s a Steam Sale on to commemorate Steam’s birthday? Right?
Steam’s 20th-anniversary sale, Where is it?
Right now, there isn’t anything indicating Steam’s Birthday on its website or within the Steam client which is strange, it’s almost like Steam is ashamed to be so old.

In all seriousness, you’d expect Steam, the platform that celebrates everything, to celebrate its own 20th birthday. We’d consider 20 years a massive milestone for a platform of Steam’s nature.
This could be because of the frequency of sales in recent times, it could also be due to the fact that we just had one of the biggest sale events of the year around a month ago, the Steam Summer Sale. And with Steam’s Autumn Sale on the horizon, it may seem silly to slap another big sale in between them.
There’s also a handful of Next Fest events between now and the Autumn Sale event that a birthday sale would interfere with.
It seems as though Valve is neglecting Steam’s 20th birthday for the time being, although they are currently working on bigger projects such as CS2, which is scheduled to be released by the end of Summer. This could also be attributed to why we don’t have a Steam Birthday Sale to celebrate with.
