We got our first look at the Bloodhunt Gameplay!

Set in the world of Vampire: The Masquerade, we’re now ready for a different take on Battle Royales. It is a free-to-play game available to download on Steam as of the 7th of September.

The game is currently in Early Access, so be mindful if you download it, it’s not quite finished yet.

Nonetheless, Vampire: The Masquerade fans are more than excited to see their bloodsucking clans available to play in a last-one-standing game.

Bloodhunt Gameplay Overview

Thanks to the Bloodhunt Gameplay footage, we’ve gotten an even better idea of how the game will play. Although it’s still in Early Access (EA), gameplay elements might be subject to change as players leave their feedback to the developers at Sharkmob. At first glance, the game is a 3rd-person shooter, with a variety of weapons and abilities available for play.

In the EA version of the game, players and their vampires are in the night-time streets of Prague. Those who are familiar with the series will know fully well that the Vampires in this world’s setting aren’t the loud and proud type.

They’re sneaky, secretive and manipulative. They rely on hunting in the shadows and keeping their heads low, so why are they suddenly in turmoil. Vampires from different clans are at each other’s throats in the open streets of Prague, potentially violating the Masquerade! This will all be part of the story unfurling in the background, a journey delivered in two Acts (Act I is live in the Early Access now, with II to come later).

Vampire Bloodhunt Clans

Many Vampire: The Masquerade fans will be familiar with the various clans available to play and what abilities they possess. Nonetheless, we’ll go though them for those who don’t know and those who might need a refresher! These are the current clans and classes to choose from in the Early Access, with likely more to come upon full release.

The rogues of the Bloodhunt roster, the Saboteurs are shadow-lurking trappers. Using contraptions to punish the unperceptive and reckless enemy that lurks too close to the Saboteur.

Bloodhunt Customization

One of the main allures of Vampire: The Masquerade is the option to customize your own vampire, make them as alike you as you want. Bloodhunt is no different, with 100 customisation items in game in its first season, players will be able to create their own character as they progress. Levelling up unlocks new outfits and accessories for your favourite archetype and clan.

In-Game Features

As seen in the Bloodhunt gameplay; the game is full of new and different ways to enjoy a Battle Royale, and considering the wide-scale world of Vampire: The Masquerade. Long term fans will be happy to see certain elements of the game in Bloodhunt.

Breaking the Masquerade

As you play, there will be many human NPCs scattered around the map. You can feed off and kill them, doing so grants you a faster cooldown on your abilities and increased HP. However, if another NPC sees you do this, you’ll have broken the Masquerade and you’ll be hunted! Other players will be able to see you, find you and kill you.

The Gas

If you play Battle Royales, you’ll be familiar with the all-killing force that forces players into a position. Whether it’s Fortnite‘s Storm or Apex‘s ring, Bloodhunt has the Gas.

Car Alarms

Considering you’re playing in the middle of a city, you want to be careful and wary of your surroundings. As you make your way across the city, if you’re choosing a stealthy approach, make sure you’re not barrelling into cars or jumping on them. Lest you want the car alarms to alert everyone of your whereabouts!

Solo or Squad-up

You can play the game solo and truly show your worth, but there’s also the option to play with your friends in a squad of three.

Regeneration

Vampires are notorious for not going down easily. So when you down someone, make sure you finish them off. All players who are downed will begin to regenerate, taking 20 seconds to be back to fighting-health!

Play Now!

That’s all for now, if this sounds like a game you’ll enjoy then be sure to download it on Steam!

Happy hunting, vampires!
