Fortnite players have shared their thoughts regarding the best map the video game has ever had.

Choosing the best Fortnite map is nearly impossible. Epic Games has released hundreds of different versions of the map over the past few years. Additionally, each chapter has had its own unique island.
Despite this, Reddit user LuckyLandonYT tried to get the Fortnite community to pick the best map of all time. The user pointed out that many players believe that either a Season 3 or Season 4 map from the first chapter is the best, but they wanted to see what other players think.
The highest-upvoted comment on the post wasn’t about Chapter 1, which was quite surprising.
The best Fortnite map is one from Chapter 2
The comment that has received the most upvotes is about the Chapter 2 – Season 2 map. Reddit user Loomling posted it and explained their reasoning: “Chapter 2 Season 2. The OG 5 Spy bases are some of the best designed pois in the game imo. The rest of the Map is also great. Being full of really good pois and Landmarks.”
Many other players agreed, especially with the Spy base locations. Here is a comment by Icy-Profile-1655: “I completely agree with you. Chapter 2 Season 2 introduced some fantastic POIs and landmarks, and the OG 5 Spy bases were definitely standout locations.”
Some Reddit users were not big fans of the map. Flintriemen explained that they didn’t like the map due to the lack of verticality, “My big problem with this map was the lack of verticality. Most of the map was so flat. There were just some hills and mountains missing.” However, many other users disagreed, pointing out the fact that the map had many hills and mountains, and that at least a quarter of it was not flat.
This map was amazing indeed. It had five unique locations with five bosses that dropped fantastic Mythic weapons.
Some Fortnite players have picked other maps as their favorites. The second most-upvoted comment is about the Season X map, which was the last map in Chapter 1.
“Chapter 1 Season X is my favorite, I see a lot of hate towards it, but I loved how all the different pois would have something unique, like no building, turn into a prop, or consistently make you dance,” IcedUpCola posted on Reddit. This map got frequent major changes a few times a month, which made it very popular among players.
Other users pointed out that Season X had a lot of variety. “Season X had so much variety that it was hard to ever get bored during a match,” GigaChadRedPill posted, while Ice-Profile-1655 explained that “Season X brought a lot of variety and unexpected elements to Fortnite, which made it a memorable and unique experience.”
The last season of Chapter 1 also had a fantastic live event, right before a complete blackout. Additionally, the Fortnite map brought some fan-favorite locations from previous seasons, but with unique twists.
The Chapter 1 – Season 7 map has also received a lot of upvotes, while some players have found something great about every single map. “I’m not going to lie to you, each map has its spark,” NotToBeToxic_ok wrote.
