Many Fortnite players would love to get free V-Bucks. This is premium currency that is used to purchase cosmetic items from the Item Shop. Unfortunately, the primary way of getting V-Bucks is by purchasing them for real money, which is not something many players can afford.

While V-Bucks are generally not free, some players received a nice gift earlier today. Epic Games sent 1,000 free V-Bucks to many players, and this article explains why. If you are eligible for this, you should enter the game and check if you’ve received this premium currency.

Epic Games sent 1,000 free V-Bucks to these players

Find the Force was a limited-time event that was available for three weeks in May. This was one of the most popular Star Wars collaborations since it brought a smaller Battle Pass. The pass included many free cosmetic items, and players had a chance to upgrade it for 1,000 V-Bucks to get even more rewards.

The final reward of the Find the Force event was Darth Maul, a popular character from the movie franchise. To obtain him, players had to purchase the premium pass for 1,000 V-Bucks and complete exclusive event quests. Darth Maul was later released to the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks.

Many players were upset to see the character come to the Item Shop. However, Epic Games made it clear that this would happen by explaining it on it’s official blog. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that the blog post was accurate in other languages. This is what led to the confusion. Because of the miscommunication, some players in the region received 1,000 V-Bucks.

“During the Find the Force event, an incorrect location of the Premium Reward Counter text presented on the blog and in the fame may have caused confusion for some players. Because of this, we will award 1,000 V-Bucks to impacted players. We apologize for the inconvenience.” This was a message posted by Epic Games in-game in Fortnite.
