This glitch is causing players to say Fortnite is ‘ruining Rank Reset day’

Fortnite is a battle royale game that not only hosts its own creative modes and other interesting games but also features a ranked mode where players can rank up a lot, like games like Overwatch or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
While players take their rank very seriously and constantly sweat to keep it up, it does have a reset day where it refreshes and allows players to work their way back up again. This works as a way to keep the game exciting. However, players are distressed as their rank refresh day has been ruined.
Players stressed as they fall behind in rank matches
Today, Fortnite Status took to Twitter to address the issue that is happening for all players who are trying to rank day in the game. The post explains that players aren’t being ranked correctly at the end of their first match. They promised that they would give an update once it is sorted out, but this is causing frustration from players.
One Twitter commenter said, “Definitely made it not fun. Thanks for ruining rank reset day.” This shows just how disappointed fans are due to this glitch.
The issue itself is quite odd as some players are ranking really high and then dropping low, for example, this user stated; “after the reset I ranked gold 1 got a win then suddenly dropped to bronze 3 that does not make sense at all.” Then going on to say how they should have ranked up and not down. Other players have also shared their frustration with the ranking being all over the place and not working correctly, or not ranking whatsoever.
The ranking is not just important to players because of the status it gives them but because it also gives them the extra benefit of claiming Seasonal cosmetic rewards as well. Meaning that after each ranked match is completed, players get a new Ranked Urgent Quest, and they can then receive exclusive rewards after completing one of that quests.
With players not being able to get a head start today, it makes it even more frustrating for those that really want to collect all the items. It is not yet determined when Fortnite’s developers will have this issue fixed, but hopefully, it will be soon.
