Fortnite update made this quest 10x easier
Epic Games has made leveling process in Chapter 4 - Season 3 much faster by lowering the Milestone requirement.

Fortnite Milestones went through a major update and overhaul with the release of Chapter 4 – Season 3. Epic Games completely changed the way they work, splitting them into three categories and giving a bonus XP for every five Milestones completed in every category.
While this is a rather positive change, one Milestone was very time-consuming, which is why Epic decided to nerf it.
Thanks to the latest change, players can now level up 10 times faster with this Milestone.
Leveling up in Fortnite is much faster now
With the release of the new Fortnite season, Epic Games put Milestones into three different categories: Challenge, Combat, and Exploration. The first two categories have four Milestones each, while the last one has five.
One of the Milestones in the Challenge category requires players to collect items. When the season was just released, this task required players to collect 500 items, which was a lot. Fortunately, Epic changed it to only 50 items with the latest update, making leveling much faster.
Epic Games confirmed this on the Fortnite Status Twitter account.
Each Milestone in Chapter 4 – Season 2 grants 2,000 XP, which isn’t a significant amount. However, players receive 30,000 XP for every five completed Milestones, which is nearly equal to half of a level.
Here are all the Milestone categories and their tasks:
Challenge Milestones:
- Collect items
- Destroy Objects
- Gain Shields
- Activate Augments
Combat Milestones:
- Damage Opponents
- Eliminate Opponents
- Headshot Opponents
- Outlast Opponents
Exploration Milestones:
- Open Chests at Landmarks
- Visit Landmarks
- Open Chests in Named Locations
- Visit Named Locations
- Travel Distance
In total, there are 20 different stages for each category, meaning that it’s possible to get 600,000 XP per category or 1.8 million XP in total. Considering that each level requires 80,000 XP, it’s possible to gain more than 20 Battle Pass levels from Milestones alone.
