Microsoft Teams is the staple of many-a-business, so when it goes down it can be a huge pain. Luckily, thanks to this always-updated page, we’ll be able to tell you if it is down – and if there’s anything you can do to fix it.
Is Microsoft Teams down right now?
As of 04.05.23 there are some reports of some issues with Microsoft Teams, as per Down Detector. In fact, over the last 24 hours there have been multiple reports of outages, likely relating to teams not being able to connect to the server.
There are not a huge number of people who are having issues, so we can infer any issues are probably not affecting a majority of Teams users. With that in mind, we’ve pulled together a few potential fixes you may want to try if you’re having issues.
Microsoft Teams is down – how to fix
There are a number of fixes you can try if you’re struggling to get on to Microsoft Teams. We recommend trying the below:
- Restart the application: Doing this can sometimes kick it back into life and establish connection – it won’t work all the time, but we’ve had some success when we’ve tried it here
- Restart your laptop or PC: Again, this has sometimes proved to be a simple yet effective way of getting Teams running again
- Use a wired connection: These are far more stable than WiFI so if your Teams is cutting out, we would recommend using this
- Restart your router: Again, this sounds a basic one, but sometimes can help if you’re facing connectivity issues
It’s aways worth checking this page and also Down Detector, who provide up-to-date status reports on a number of applications.
