In another exhilarating three-product bundle, Micro Center is combining the 5800X3D with a motherboard and RAM and saving you over $150. That allows you to enjoy a budget build on the old platform for even cheaper but without having to miss out on any great performance.

As one of the best CPUs for gaming, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D comes in hot with a 3D cache and performance that matches processors aimed even higher in tiers. As we found in our review of the 5800X3D it is an incredible CPU for gaming. Alongside an AM4 motherboard and DDR4 RAM, they all enjoy price drops from an older release but that doesn’t make them any worse. So here’s what the deal is.

What’s in the 5800X3D Micro Centre bundle deal

It might be an older choice of hardware, but it still has a lot to offer. The bundle only has one five-star review, but the parts individually certainly add up to a good amount staying near that high end. You can find the bundle on the Micro Center website but it is only available for pickup, which does limit the availability to those able to get to one of the coveted tech stores. What you’ll get in the bundle is the following:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
  • Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B550 Plus WiFi II DDR4
  • RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4-3200 Kit

Is the 5800X3D Micro Center bundle worth it?

The 5800X3D bundle at Micro Center is certainly a strong value choice, coming in a lot cheaper than at alternate retailers. As on Amazon, the 5800X3D is currently at $283.95, ASUS Motherboard is sold at $149, and the G.Skill RAM is down to $32.99. That alone combines to over $465 making the Micro Center bundle a steal for the hardware available.

This isn’t surprising as since the hardware is older it has gotten cheaper. With the likes of AM5 motherboards, DDR5 RAM, and Ryzen 7000 CPUs demanding a much higher price for the platform. But that doesn’t mean you lose out on much as the CPU holds up to this day with the framerates and performance it offers. But still, you can also get a 7800X3D bundle for cheap as well if you’d rather.
