In case you haven’t seen, Mortal Kombat 1 has been announced. Many thought this would simply be the 12th iteration, however, devs had a different idea bringing us MK1… again. Mortal Kombat 1 will be available to pre order from September 19th, and for those that do you will receive the playable character – Shang Tsung. Liu Kang , the fire god also makes his appearance, in what the devs are calling a “reborn MK universe“
The new MK iteration will usher in a new fighting system, fresh game modes, and, of course, new fatalities. In other news, we will get an immersive story campaign, where players get to fight their way though brand new story, featuring all your favorite characters.

It feels right ot say this game will pay homage to where it all began and we can expect to see the roster from the original game. we already know we are getting Lui Kang, Mileena, Kitana, and Shang Tsung but what would a full roster look like?

- Johnny Cage
The most iconic characters are back and there is still more to be revealed. It is pretty exciting to see Hanzo Hasashi aka Scorpion once again, continuing his run of appearing in every game so far. Will we see other from the original game? What about Sonya and Kano? Kano, the mercenary thug and member of the Black Dragon could be interesting. And Sonya, who was chasing down Kano in the original game until Shaun Tsung’s ambushed them.

Fans get to enjoy different guest fighters in Mortal Kombat with the likes of Ninja turtles, Batman, and the Terminator featuring, to name a few. These DLC fighters are often from different universes but might we see?

Mortal Kombat 1 roster leaks (kameo and main roster)
There are always leaks around characters being added into the game. There are a few characters that have been leaked thanks to a slip up on an Amazon page. This was shown in a tweet from Idle Sloth, showcasing the characters.
