Today, Samsung has officially launched the Odyssey Neo G7 (Model G70NC) – the company’s first flat Mini-LED monitor.
The new gaming-tailored monitor features a large screen designed to provide gamers with a wider range of vision and more detailed images – not to mention additional immersion too.
Historically, Samsung has opted for a curved design for the Odyssey lineup, making the new Neo G7 an interesting addition to the current lineup.
Of course, it’ll likely go toe-to-toe with the likes of the LG C2 42-inch TV, making its pricing an interesting talking point.
According to Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, “The gaming monitor market is only going to get bigger, and gamers are now seeking more out of their monitors,.
“We are not just delivering better gaming experience—we are rebuilding new smart capabilities into our screens that give gamers an all-in-one place for technology and entertainment. Our innovations are enabling gamers everywhere to stay absorbed in their games with visual performance that enhances the intense emotional experiences.”

Samsung has opted for Mini-LED technology for the new panel over the increasingly-popular OLED which seems like a strange play considering the hype around 40+ inch OLED gaming monitors that seems to be surrounding 2023.
Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43inch: Price and release date
According to sources, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 will be available globally in Q1 2023.
At this early stage, there are no suggestions for price. That said, a 43-inch Mini-LED gaming monitor will be no budget option. If the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 is anything to go by, the G7 will likely run north of $2,000 – making it one of the most expensive panels in today’s market.
