After what seems like a lifetime, Samsung looks set to finally launch its highly-anticipated Odyssey OLED G9 monitor. In a similar fashion to the brand’s Neo G8 launch, early adopters of the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 will also be rewarded with a $50 discount (as long as they do so before the 11th of June, 2023). On top of that, reserve customers will also receive a $250 Samsung gift card – which can be used to purchase anything on the Samsung store.

Strangely, Samsung have not yet released the official price of the OLED G9 – meaning you’ll have to reserve blind if you want to guarantee one of their new panels. And let’s be honest, if the OLED G9 is priced anything near to other OLED monitors in today’s market, it’ll likely hit shelves with an incredibly eye-watering price tag.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 reservation deal

Samsung’s last couple of launches have followed a similar pattern when it comes to reservations – with the Neo G8 seeing a $50 saving applied to early adopters.

The same deal will be on the table for Samsung’s latest OLED G9 model, alongside an attractive $250 gift card to boot.

Deal expires on the 11th of June, 2023.

Is the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 reserve deal worth it?

Well, that’s incredibly hard to answer when we don’t know the actual price of the monitor. However, what we can do is speculate the price of the OLED G9, then work out whether or not $50 off that is worth your while.

Samsung’s latest G9 model hit shelves for well north of $2,000, mainly thanks to the mini-LED Backlight it came equipped with. This time around, Samsung are utilizing an OLED panel – which, if the market is anything to go by, will potentially reduce the cost of the monitor. That being said, similar OLED monitors in today’s market still run around the $2,000 mark, so maybe that won’t be the case.

Ultimately, I think we can safely say the Odyssey OLED G9 will cost more than $2,000 – making the $50 reservation a relatively lackluster one. That being said, when you pair that with a $250 gift card, you’re effectively getting $300 of value – which could be around 12.5% of the monitor’s value.
