It is no lie that everyone is looking forward to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2; it features a superhero that is almost everyone’s favorite. PlayStation already blew it out of the park when they released the first Marvel’s Spider-Man then, followed by Miles Morales. These two Spider-Men made fans hungry for more. However, rumors have fans wondering if we will finally be getting a villain game next.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has everyone hyped, and its release is just around the corner in October, even though it does still feel so far away. However, knowing that Spider-Man 2 is taking a slightly different direction than the ones before has players wondering what might be next.

Insomniac Games is working on a third Marvel game

So far, the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC hasn’t been announced, so only PlayStation fans have been able to pre-order and excitedly await the game. Marvel’s The Wolverine will also be another Marvel title that is exclusive to the PlayStation 5. However, there was a recent Twitter post suggesting that Insomniac Games is working on a third Marvel title that is currently in development outside of Spider-Man and Wolverine.

A recent tweet from Culture Crave, who is known for posting rumors, leaks, and other video game content that seems to come true later on, also made a tweet saying Insomniac that they are working on another triple-A title outside of the two we already know about.

This makes fans wonder if it could be a Sinister Six game. Another fan of Marvel commented on this tweet, suggesting a Punisher game. Imagine how cool it would be to have a Punisher video game alongside the lineup that’s already in development.

Another rumor that’s floating around is if the third AAA title the developers are working on is Venom related. This villain is supposed to be in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, with both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. If the games were to be connected, we’d need to know the ending events of Spider-Man 2 to determine whether or not Venom could get his own game.

Finally, some players in the comments on the tweet started a poll, listing out some possibilities from Iron Man, Deadpool, Hulk, and Black Panther, but so far, we already know a new Iron Man game is coming, and a possible Black Panther title, so Deadpool won this lineup. Nothing official has been confirmed yet, but hopefully, fans will get answers to their questions about what game could be coming soon.
