As the thermal design of new graphics cards keeps increasing, you’d expect to need more and more cooling included in your PC case. But Streacom shows off the SG10 Fanless Gaming Case at Computex 2023.
In collaboration with Calyos, it is aimed at cooling high-performance CPUs and GPUs in a fully passive mode. Serving as a proof of concept for applying loop heat pipe tech in the consumer PC market and an alternative to liquid cooling. A system designed for spaceships by the USSR, it opts for two-phase heat transfer by capillary action to remove heat and passively move it to a radiator or condenser.

This eliminates and worry of a pump failure or leak that might plague an AIO. This design is a resurgence of a Kickstarter that Calyos couldn’t execute and Streamcom aims to finish it with a redesign of the NSGO. It utilizes a new evaporator design that pumps the coolant around the system and a condenser that improves heat emission.
With a milled aluminum chassis and structural steel, it is a heavier design with its cooling. But also considers functionality with adjustable diagonally mounted components. Along with movable front and back I/O ports. It sure is unique and suggests it can support a GPU up to 280mm in length and a TBP of 350W without fans. With support for ATX and CPU cooling of 250W fanless. These are preliminary so may change by the final release of the case.
