What’s in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game?

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre from publisher Gun Interactive and Sumo Digital features an asymmetrical horror experience that will test your wits, stealth, and survival as you either escape the horrific killers from the movie or take down the victims. The game is based on the terrifying movie 1974 by Tobe Hooper.

There are plenty of familiar faces from the movie, including Leatherface, The Hitchhiker, and Leatherface’s family. There are five victims to play: Ana Flores, Connie Taylor, Julie Crawford, Leland McKinney, and Sonny Williams.

While there isn’t an extensive suite of game modes, the return of Leatherface is plenty exciting for many fans, as a group of idealistic young friends travel to a remote Texas town in search of the missing sister of Ana, Maria. They end up disrupting the carefully shielded world of Leatherface, and end up invoking his bloody wrath, which he takes out on his guests.

The Texas Chainsaw films were the inspiration behind the game, where Slaughter family players must hunt down victims before they’re out of the family’s reach, and victims must work for their eventual freedom in each scenario. Gun Interactive is no stranger to horror games, as they were also the publishers behind Layers of Fear and Friday the 13th. Players of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be able to enjoy the bloody mechanics and new look of this horror classic.
