Corsair is revolutionizing what it’s bringing to the table in the power supply market. With the introduction of the RMx Shift PSU range, we’re getting something ingenious, giving us the next generation of units and fresh ideas about what the best PSUs should be.

The new range of PSUs moves the connectors to a much more convenient spot when it comes to building and managing your PC. As well as offering up the new ATX 3.0 standard that is specifically made for the latest graphics cards, easily accommodating their power spikes and needs.

Key features

One of the key reasons why the RMx Shift PSUs are a game changer is down to the power connectors being shifted to the side of the unit from the standard position. Now, with this seemingly more logical orientation, you get easy access when the unit is installed. As long as you have one with ATX PSU format, with a 210mm (8.3″) wide space from the side when the case is mounted.

This provides you with enough space for the cabling and easy access to the connectors, regardless if you are building a new gaming PC or changing up what you already have. The whole process is simplified further with the type 5 cables, which have a much smaller connector type, taking up less space.

Another addition to the range is the new ATX 3 certification. These units are also rated with Gold efficiency from both 80 Plus and Cybenetics certifications, giving you a good conversion rate of 90% at those higher loads. Along with providing the PCIe 5 12VHPWR connector for native support of the likes of the RTX 40 series.

With the 140mm fan you also get an A cybenetics sound rating. It only turns on at 50% loads and it is rated at only 30 dB at 100%. Overall, the RMx Shift range performs incredibly well for the little noise it makes.
