Do you want to play Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon with your friends via crossplay? The latest game from Elden Ring and Dark Souls developer FromSoftware has fans excited. Older titles had great PvP gameplay and many are hoping for the same from the latest entry.
Crossplay compatibility is something that many games have nowadays. It allows friends to play together no matter what console they are on. This means that those playing on Xbox and PlayStation can play together with someone on PC.
Does Armored Core 6 have multiplayer that can be played across different platforms? Multiple editions of the game will allow you to upgrade your mech to your heart’s content. Will there be an open world to explore as well? Is Armored Core 6 crossplay?
Does Armored Core 6 have crossplay compatibility?
There has been no official statement by Bandai Namco Entertainment or FromSoftware about whether Armored Core 6 has crossplay or not. This means that you will need to wait until the official launch in late August to see if the game features crossplay support.
None of the other titles in the franchise feature crossplay support so it is unlikely that Armored Core 6 will. The same can be said about the Souls games franchise the company spawned as none of those games have crossplay either.
While it is unlikely that Armored Core 6 will get crossplay, it is not impossible. Other games like Warframe had crossplay support added on as a later addition. This means that FromSoftware could add crossplay functionality to the multiplayer mode in the future.
One of the primary focuses of Armored Core 6 is the single-player story mode which allows players to play through a variety of missions using a mech of their own creation. Perhaps in the future, when players have mostly switched to the multiplayer mode, cross-platform support will be added and those on different consoles will be able to play online together.
