The Sims 4 is perhaps the world’s most popular simulation game.

A glorified dollhouse where we get to create our sims and either put them through horrible torturous experiences or we give them the lives we always wanted for ourselves.

Whether we’re creating the perfect household, or spending hours making the ideal home or lot, there are so many different ways to enjoy The Sims 4. Some players might want to introduce a number of mods to their game, whilst others might actually play the in-game challenges and scenarios.

But among the highly active and lively Sims 4 community, there are a number of challenges people have thought of that’ll spruce up your game.

In this guide we’ll walk you through some of the best Sims 4 challenges, their rules and set-up required!

Rags to Riches Challenge

Setup: Create a Sim, move them into an empty lot and get rid of all their money.

Requirements: None.

In this challenge, all you need to do is create a Sim. This sim will start their new life on an empty lot, they will begin their new lives with no money, no possessions. Then slowly but surely you will need to grow your riches until you’re one of the richest sims out there.

You’ll need to live on community lots to fulfill your needs until you can afford to buy a house. Needless to say, this particular challenge is quite time-consuming and takes a while before you can complete it. It’s a nice background challenge to hop in and out of.

Live the Farm Life Challenge

Setup: Create a Sim, move them into an empty lot and get rid of all their money.

Requirements: Cottage Living Expansion Pack.

Almost identical to Rags to Riches, the Live the Farm Life makes the most of the Cottage Living expansion pack. In this version of the challenge, you instead won’t get the option to get a job to make money, instead you need to live off the land. You need to start a farm, become a professional farmer and use your animals, crops, and other means to make a living.

Globetrotter Challenge – Sims 4 Challenges

Setup: Create a young adult sim and once you move them to Mt. Komorebi, give them a tent and set the funds to 0–50 simoleons (testingcheats true → money 0).

Requirements: Seasons, Island Living, Eco Lifestyle, Snowy Escape, Outdoor Retreat, Jungle Adventure, Strangerville, Realm of Magic or Vampires, Nifty Knitting.

This challenge is basically a gap year made real. This challenge sees you create a Young Sim that wants to complete the most aspirations they can in the span of one game-year, using the seasons as a guide. Segmented into seven rounds, you’re expected to complete both your primary and secondary aspirations each round, whilst moving from location to location between rounds.

Big Brother Challenge

Setup: Create 8 Sims of various ages and personalities and move them into your Big Brother House.

Requirements: None.

This mod is one of those chaotic but endlessly fun ones. You create 8 sims that will all be living in the same household, and the perfect home – one that locks them out of leaving and forces them to stay within the confines of the Big Brother house.

Over the course of seven weeks, each week one Sim will be evicted – the sim with the lowest friendship with the others until there’s only two left standing, at which point you can find a number of ways to whittle it down to one last winning player.

This is one of those challenges were once you’ve done the set up and all the hard work, you can sit back and let the game play itself. Each week features different tasks for your sims to accomplish, adding some complexity and chaos to the mix.

Black Widow Challenge

Setup: Create a young female sim with the Materialistic, Snob, and Romantic traits, and Serial Romantic Aspiration.

Requirements: None.

This Black Widow Challenge is a Sims 4 challenge that’s all about romance and money, moving from house to house, accumulating as much wealth as you can and if you so happen to off a husband or two, then be sure to feign ignorance. Make a young adult female Sim and place her in a house. This sim isn’t allowed to get a job, in fact all of her income must come from her suitors.

The goal of the challenge is to find and marry a Sim, the richer the better. Host a dinner party, find your sim’s next paramour, get caught cheating, and murder your husband. Continue the cycle until your sim gets through ten paramours and is fabulously wealthy.

100 Baby Challenge – Sims 4 Challenges

Setup: Create a young adult Sim.. We’ll call her the matriarch. For the sake of clarity, the matriarch will be referenced with female pronouns in the rules but your matriarch may have any gender customizations you wish, as long as she can get pregnant. She may have any traits, aspirations, appearance, walk style, or voice you like.

Requirements: None.

A staple in Sims challenges, the 100 baby challenge is pretty much exactly that. You need to accomplish getting 100 babies. There are some variations of this challenge but the truest form of it is using a single young female sim and having her give birth to 100 baby.

You can change the conditions for this challenge. For example, each baby must have a different father. The objective for this challenge is to give birth to 100 children in as few generations as possible. The challenge ends as soon as the 100th child is born or if you fail the challenge for breaking rules.
