Goldeneye 007 is finally making a comeback after it’s initial release in 1997, releasing back onto Nintendo platforms and Xbox too, we’ll be treated to the remake on the 27th of January 2023. With a return to Nintendo, will be getting the same multiplayer treatment as the original?
Well, we should be experiencing much of the same, as it is a remaster, so can you play split-screen on GoldenEye 007 remaster?
GoldenEye 007 Switch will have splitscreen multiplayer
As was the case with the original GoldenEye, fans will be able to play local multiplayer on splitscreen with the friends. This was an integral part of the original game, where kids could play as Odd Job and dominate because of his height and deadly hat.
We’re looking forward to seeing how much has changed, but as is the way with remasters, not much in the way of gameplay should be subject to change. We’re happy this is the case, especially because we can keep splitscreen.
Xbox versions of GoldenEye 007 will have local multiplayer
As we’ve heard from developers, Rare, Xbox consoles will only have splitscreen capabilities only, and not online multiplayer. Both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles will be able to access the GoldenEye 007 Xbox version come release day.
it will include a local multiplayer mode for split screen with friends, much like the old game, but will not be getting online multiplayer.
How many people can play GoldenEye?
The game will feature a classic splitscreen mode in which friends can battle it out as their favourite characters from the original.
GoldenEye 007 features a multiplayer mode where up to four players can compete in several deathmatch scenarios via split-screen.
