After many years of waiting, Dead Island 2 is finally on its way into the hand of fans. With the first Dead Island coming out back in 2011, there have been a lot of consoles that Dead Island 2 can release to. As such, fans are a bit confused about which consoles they will be able to pick the game up on. let’s go over the full list of platforms that Dead Island 2 will release on.
Which Platforms Will Dead Island 2 Be On?
Something to keep in mind with Dead Island 2 is that it is not next-gen only. Meaning that it will be released on a few of the older consoles as well as some of the new ones. Here is the full list of platforms you will be able to find Dead Island 2 on.

this is a bit of a shock to some, as many thought Dead Island 2 would be a next-gen-only game. However, Dead Island 2 had a much longer development time. As such, it seems that the previous generation of consoles will be receiving a version of Dead Island 2 as well.
The main corner to have is what content will be cut from the older console’s version of Dead Island 2. Anytime a game comes out on next-gen and previous-gen consoles, they can be some cut content between generations. This can be something minor like some vehicle variations being missing. Or as major as whole questlines and parts of the story being missing.
We might be lucky with Dead Island 2 since it was in development for so long. we could only have visual differences between the two generations. Since most of the game could have been developed for the previous generation. We won’t be able to tell until the full release of Dead Island 2.
