Redfall is a high-paced action game, but one of the best parts of many action-adventure games is the RPG elements. One question that has been on the minds of many gamers is whether or not Redfall will have classes.
Below, we will explore the answer to this question and provide a breakdown of what we know so far.
Redfall – Are there Classes?
The Redfall gameplay will not have any classes you will choose from, but rather there will be a choice between four different characters in the game. Each of these characters will have their own unique abilities and playstyle, which will become important when playing with your friends as you will need to have characters that complement one another.
That said, if you choose to play the game solo, you can play any character, as all of them are designed to be able to survive the harsh world alone.
Redfall Characters
There have been four confirmed characters in the base version of Redfall at the time of release that you will be allowed to choose from. Bear in mind that multiple people can opt for the same character when playing in a lobby, although that might not be the best tactical move. The characters and their respective abilities are as follows:
Character | Abilities |
---|---|
Jacob Boyer | Long-range sniper specialist with the ability to summon a raven to distract enemies |
Devinder ‘Dev’ Crousley | An aspiring inventor with a staff that emits ultra-violet light to burn the vampires to ash |
Remi De La Rosa | Coupled with her robot, she packs a real punch and has some good firepower |
Layla Ellison | Can use telekinetic powers to generate shields and push and pull objects. Also, her umbrella accumulates kinetic energy to fire blasts at the vampires |
DLC Characters
A DLC for Redfall has also been confirmed, with two new characters being introduced. However, the exact abilities and powers of these characters have not yet been announced. All we know is that you will need to choose your characters a bit more carefully in lobbies if you want a balanced playthrough.
