The UEFA Champions League is back in EA Sports FC 24. One of the biggest football tournaments has returned and is once again playable for gamers. The tournament pits the top four teams from the top European leagues against each other in group stages before a knockout round. Therefore, those teams can make the Champions League. Here’s how you can play on it in EA Sports FC 24.

How do I join the Champions League in EA Sports FC 24?

The UEFA Champions League is not in all game modes. It’s sort of in Ultimate Team via Road to the Knockouts, but playing the tournament is in the game. You can do this as a whole team in the tournaments mode, but you can also play it as a player.

This is done in Player Career Mode or Manager Career Mode. Either way, you can control a team/player in the Champions League. If you want to be in the tournament right away, you’d need to begin your player career on one of the teams that’s in it. In 2023-2024, that includes:

  • Sevilla
  • Arsenal
  • Manchester City
  • Manchester United
  • Newcastle
  • Barcelona
  • Atletico Madrid
  • Real Madrid
  • Real Sociedad
  • Napoli
  • Lazio
  • Inter Milan
  • AC Milan
  • Bayern Munich
  • Borussia Dortmund
  • RB Leipzig
  • Union Berlin
  • Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)
  • Lens
  • Marseille
  • Benfica
  • Porto
  • Feyenoord
  • PSV
  • RB Salzburg
  • Sturm Graz
  • Celtic
  • Rangers
  • Red Star Belgrade

There are a lot of teams in the Champions League, so if you’re on one to begin the season, you will play the tournament. If you’re not, then you need to get on one of the teams that will qualify for the next year.

The best teams out of the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, La Liga, and more make it. It’s a safe bet to aim for someone like Man City, Barcelona, PSG, or Bayern Munich. If you pick a new club for the next year and do not make the Champions League, all is not lost.

You simply need to finish fourth or better to qualify for the new UEFA Champions League Tournament. As long as your squad, no matter who it is, finishes in the top four of one of the European leagues, you will be able to play.

If that’s too slow for you, you can play the tournament, or the UEFA Europa Conference League, in tournament mode to skip the waiting. There are several UEFA competitions to join. That includes the UEFA Women’s Champions League, with top women’s footballers playing in that tournament in the world’s game as well.

EA FC, with Erling Haaland on the cover, has been available since September for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5.
