EA Sports FC 24, the continuation of the FIFA franchise, is back. That means that you can play as your own player in career mode. You start as a lowly rated substitute and have to work your way up to the starting lineup and potentially onto new teams.

Your player can look however you want, but most players want to make it look like themselves. Many games have face scan technology to help this. Can you do that in EA Sports FC 24?

Can I scan my face for EA Sports FC 24?

Unfortunately, EA Sports FC 24 has not adopted the face scan that other video games have. In order to make your avatar look like yourself, you have to edit it through the normal methods. If you have a beard, you can add a variety of beards to your football player.

You can change every aspect of your face, you just can’t do it with facial scans. The football game has tons of customization options, but not this kind.

There are face scans done for professional players. This was done in an effort to add some realism to the game. The new features add a layer of realism to cut scenes and celebrations, but the gameplay doesn’t have a lot of close shots of people’s faces.

Nevertheless, the faces look as realistic as they ever have, with Erling Haaland, Bukayo Saka, Diogo Jota, Federico Chiesa, Virgil Van Dijk, Marcus Rashford, Son Heung-Min, Vinicius Jr., Kevin de Bruyne, and more have taken advantage of the new face scan. They look as real as ever. Unfortunately, that is not the case for your own player.

This affects the entire game, so all game modes stand to benefit from the new technology. Players, coaches, and more are in every single mode- including Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and more. THe visuals are great, even if you can’t scan your own face to join them.

New names and more are in EA FC 24, out on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 5.
