With EA Sports FC 24 right around the corner, many players are hopeful that there will be an open beta. These serve as a way for players to test the game before it is widely released. The official release date is at the beginning of September, and anxious football fans are ready to play as soon as they are able.

Whether or not that will be as part of an open beta, a closed beta, or normal Early Access remains to be seen. In fact, many FC fans are curious about when the open beta is going to arrive- if it’s going to arrive at all. Here’s what we know about the beta and predictions on how long it will be active.

Will there be an EA Sports FC 24 open beta?

Right now, an EA Sports FC closed beta is available. Closed beta means only select players with specific beta codes can try the gameplay out early. An open beta, naturally, is much more accessible. They’ve been able to try out Career mode, FUT, play football games and tournaments, Pro Clubs, Volta Football and much more, albeit in an unfinished version of the game.

Furthermore, the closed beta is not officially confirmed with a release date yet. The mobile beta is live and many expect the console and PC beta to follow suit soon, but it’s not official yet.

Regardless of when or if this closed beta arrives, an open beta closer to the release date is possible. It also remains unconfirmed through leaks and Twitter, but it’s very likely to happen given the track record of EA Sports and open betas.

When will EA Sports FC 24 open beta start and end?

When the EA FC 24 open beta ends is highly influenced by when it begins, but it can be expected to end a little while before the release of the new game, which is September 8. The open beta for FIFA 23 ran for three weeks in August and ended September 1, so a similar timeline was very possible. Betas will likely be for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The other respective platforms, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4, are probably not going to have access.

However, it appears that that time frame has passed. The game launches in late September, the open beta could begin on September 1 and last until September 22. Keep in mind that this is just a prediction, and is not official. There may not even be an open beta, though there has been a closed beta for FC 24. Pre-orders have been open since July, but the early access they grant is not a beta.

Please note that none of this is currently confirmed. When more information is available, we will update it to reflect that. You will need an EA account, though probably not a subscription, to try these if and when they become available. Visit the EA website for more information, as well as to leave feedback for potential adjustments.
