EA Sports FC has finally been announced, signaling the end of long running EA Sports FIFA franchise. Hopes of FIFA 24 were dashed as EA finally revealed their glitzy new logo – and shared the first details about the upcoming game. As per usual, there are a ton of leagues coming to EA’s football game. But what ones are included and are there any notable omissions?

According to the official EA Sports press release, there will be 30 leagues in the game, however, there are only a handful so far listed as confirmed, which we have put below.

What leagues are in EA Sports FC?

So far the following 14 leagues will be in EA Sports FC. While the effect of the FIFA relationship is not really felt now, one notable omission to EA Sports FC moving forward will be the World Cup. However, as this is still years away, its effects will not be felt for some time.

  • Serie A
  • Premier League
  • Bundesliga
  • SPFL
  • EFL
  • Ligue 1
  • Liga Portugal
  • UEFA Competitions including the Champions League
  • La Liga Santander
  • CSL
  • RSL
  • K League
  • Eredivisie
  • MLS

There was a lot of worry that some of the major leagues would not make the cut, now that FIFA is not associated with the game. However, the above list shows a number of key leagues will be coming – including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. Barclays Women’s Super League will also be included in this year’s game.

Richard Masters, Premier League Chief Executive said: “Through our long-standing partnership with EA SPORTS, we are able to bring fans around the world closer to the Premier League and we recognise the importance of the next generation in growing the future of football.

He added: “We look forward to the relationship evolving through the launch of EA SPORTS FC, whether that’s bringing in developments in the ePremier League, opening new football pitches to benefit communities in the UK, or providing fans with exciting in-game experiences.”

EA Sports FC will give gamers access to more than 9,000 fully licensed players, 700 teams and 30 leagues, with the support of over 300 global football partners that will allow further expansion into areas including both women’s and grassroots football.
