The first-person mode in Fortnite is one of the longest-awaited features. The new perspective was leaked last year in Chapter 4 but Epic Games hasn’t released it to live servers yet. Fortunately, it’s possible to enable it with a simple trick.

The new perspective hasn’t been fully developed yet, which is why it hasn’t been released yet. However, the first-person mode looks fantastic, and it could mean that its release date is just around the corner.

This guide will explain how to enable the first-person mode in Fortnite.

First-person mode in Fortnite can be enabled through in-game settings

To enable the new perspective, you will have to get into Fortnite: Save the World. If you don’t have it, you can purchase it for $15.99. With the purchase, you will also receive a few cosmetic items and up to 1,500 V-Bucks.

Here are the steps you need to follow to enable the first-person mode in Fortnite:

  1. Enter Fortnite: Save the World
  2. Open Main Menu
  3. Go to Settings
  4. Switch to the Game Settings tab
  5. Scroll down to Extra Game Options
  6. Enable First-Person Camera

Once you do this, you need to leave Fortnite’s PvE mode and open one of your replays. As soon as you load the replay, you will notice that you have the first-person mode enabled.

The first-person mode in Fortnite is currently available only through the replay mode. This mode was also available in live games in Chapter 4 – Season 1, but Epic Games patched it after a few days. This method will likely be patched soon as well, so you may not have a lot of time to test it.

The mode is glitched and doesn’t work for all items, such as consumables. However, you can test it out and see what it will look like once it’s released to live servers. The release date of the feature is currently unknown, but it may come out with Chapter 4 – Season 4.
