Epic Games has made massive changes to Fortnite Battle Royale over the past few days. With the release of the v25.11 update, the video game developer has released a lot of new content and even changed the meta.

Before the update, many players used the Heisted Breacher Shotgun. This Exotic weapon was powerful for close-range combat, but what made it special was its ability to one-shot builds. However, that is no longer the case.

With the latest hotfix, Epic Games has nerfed the Heisted Breacher Shotgun, making it almost useless.

Latest Fortnite nerf has drastically affected the Exotic weapon

The Heisted Breacher Shotgun was first added in Chapter 4 – Season 1 with the release of the Most Wanted event. The weapon deals 106 damage to players, while headshots can deal up to 186 damage. While the weapon is certainly powerful against players, many players used it to destroy structures.

The Exotic shotgun used to deal 759 damage to structures, meaning that it was possible to one-shot all player-built structures, including metal walls. However, that is no longer possible. With the hotfix, Epic Games reduced the structural damage of the weapon to only 255 damage.

Considering that only a wooden wall has under 255 hit points, it is no longer possible to one-shot stone or metal walls, as well as many other structures. The Fortnite nerf will drastically affect everyone who’s used the weapon to destroy builds.

A few weeks ago, Epic nerfed the Heavy Sniper Rifle, which was also capable of taking builds down with a single hit. The sniper was removed from the game with the latest update and was replaced by the Explosive Repeater Rifle.

Considering that the maximum stack of Port-A-Bunker was increased to four, it seems that the video game developer has decided to change the meta again. Furthermore, the Pump Shotgun will likely be unvaulted soon, but its damage will also be lower.

Epic Games has prepared a lot of new content for Fortnite, which is why we expect many more changes to be released very soon. The development team will be on a summer break starting next week, but the content will keep coming as the summer event is scheduled for July 4.
