The v25.11 Fortnite update was just released! Epic Games has added a lot of new content with it, making players excited. Considering that the video game developer will be on a summer break starting next week, this makes sense.
The biggest highlight of the latest Fortnite update is the summer event. However, besides the event, Epic has also released a new weapon, map changes, and many other things.
If you’d like to read all the important patch notes, you’ve come to the right place.
New Fortnite update brings a lot of new content, including a new event
The biggest highlight of the new Fortnite update is the summer event. The event will last for two weeks and will bring many new quests, items, free rewards, and much more. This content is currently encrypted but will be revealed in just a couple of days.
As reputable Fortnite leakers already revealed, Epic Games added several new summer skins of existing variants. The summer version of Chaos Agent will soon hit the Item Shop, while Erisa’s new variant will be included in a bundle.
Breezabelle, a new version of Isabelle, will be released as a Fortnite Crew pack in July 2023.
When it comes to gameplay items, Epic has released a few new items with the v25.11 Fortnite update. The Slap Splash, a new healing item, was added with the patch, as well as the Explosive Repeater Rifle and the Sharp Tooth Shotgun, which is a new version of the Pump Shotgun.
While many players are excited that the fan-favorite weapon is back, it’s also important to note that its damage has been nerfed. The shotgun can deal up to 160 damage, but its effective range has changed and is much better now.
The Shotgun comes in four different rarities. The lowest rarity is Uncommon (Green) and deals 103 damage to the body and 145 damage to the head.
Two new Reality Augments have also made it to the game:
- Heavy Headshots – Weapons using heavy ammo have increased headshot damage
- Heavy Ammo Acquired – Instantly gain heavy ammo and gain additionally heavy ammo when opening containers
Unfortunately, the Heavy Sniper Rifle was vaulted with the latest Fortnite update, which is why the new augments won’t be usable with it. However, these augments will impact the new rifle, which can be found from the ground, in regular and rare chests, Holo-chests, and many other sources.
