The v25.11 Fortnite update has brought several major changes to the video game. It was released on Tuesday, June 27, and will likely be the last major update until late July. Considering that Epic Games will be on a summer break, the latest update will likely be the last one in the next two to three weeks.
The good news, however, is that Epic will release the summer event next week. According to reputable leakers, the event will be released on July 4 at 9 AM Eastern Time. In the meantime, players will be busy exploring the new content and the new weapon that was added with the update.
Besides the new weapon, Epic Games removed a fan-favorite item, causing a community outrage.
Fortnite loot pool changes have caused a strong reaction from the community
Even though Epic Games is known for releasing big changes to Fortnite nearly every week, many players are still not used to them. Due to this, the removal of the Heavy Sniper Rifle has been met with a lot of criticism from the community. The weapon, which was nerfed recently, was completely removed from the game.
To replace the sniper rifle, Epic released the Explosive Repeater Rifle, a new weapon that is incredible. Not only is the rifle much faster than the Heavy Sniper Rifle, but it can also deal damage when players miss a shot. On top of this, it’s possible to hit multiple targets with the new Fortnite weapon, which makes it very strong.
The best thing is that the new weapon can be found in almost every loot source. Additionally, it comes in four different rarities, starting with Uncommon (Green).
Fortnite leakers have also revealed the return of the Pump Shotgun. However, this weapon hasn’t been released to live servers yet. Considering that the weapon is ready for release, it won’t be surprising if Epic Games brings it for the summer event next week.
The weapon is called the Sharp Tooth shotgun and comes in five different rarities, from Common (Gray) to Legendary (Gold). While the shotgun has the same design as the iconic Pump Shotgun from Chapter 1, its stats have been modified. The headshot damage is much lower, but the weapon has a tighter spread, which makes it deadlier at longer ranges.
