Fortnite is an ever changing game. Game modes and skins come and go while weapons are constantly being vaulted and unvaulted. Recently, a long-awaited weapon has made a return in a different form.
The Sharp Tooth Shotgun is, in essence, a new version of the pump shotgun which was a fan-favorite in early seasons. The weapon has been added to the game at the cost of the Havoc Shotgun which has been vaulted to make room. Still, how do you get the weapon into your hands? Let’s find out!
Where to find the Sharp Tooth Shotgun in Fortnite
The Sharp Tooth Shotgun can be found in chests, picked up in floor loot, and purchased with Keys at Holochests. The weapon comes in rarities ranging from Uncommon to Legendary.
As you can see, there are plenty of ways to acquire the Sharp Tooth. But what can one expect from the weapon?
As you’ll find, the Sharp Tooth Shotgun works a bit differently than others in the game. There is a bit more player accuracy required to effectively use this weapon due to its tight bullet spread with a small reticle to aim with.
The accuracy required makes headshots especially tricky, but if you have the Sharp Tooth at a Legendary rarity, a headshot will do max damage at 160.
Taking a broader look at the weapon, the Sharp Tooth Shotgun has a four round magazine and has a fast reload time although players must account for pumping the weapon in-between shots which may take a brief moment. Missing a shot can be extremely punishing, but if you are a player that doesn’t normally miss shots then this weapon should be no problem.
The Sharp Tooth is great for close range and especially thrives in medium range combat. The weapon also works well for taking down structures, if needed.
Having a pistol or SMG at the ready would be a good idea as well. For instance, you hiit your target with the Sharp Tooth for a solid amount of damage and switch to a SMG to hose them down for good.
