New Fortnite skins Nalia and Frigid Foregoer celebrate creators

The new Nalia and Frigid Foregoer skins are available in the Fortnite item shop from December 23rd, 2021, and were created by independent creators.
Epic Games has received a lot of stick over the years for supposedly using things like dance moves, designs and more without properly crediting the creators. Hopefully, the Concept Royale competition is just the start of things to come, as Fortnite picks contest winners to have their designs turned to skin in Fortnite Battle Royale.
What is Concept Royale?
Fortnite’s Concept Royale was announced in June and tasked anyone and everyone to enter the most creative, festive and frosty designs to be turned into in-game Outfits this Winterfest. Two designs stood out among the many entrants, and the winning concepts were designed by Ladiale and Alta.
What are the winning skins?
The new Nalia Fortnite skin is the winning concept from Ladiale and, according to an interview with the winners, was inspired by a barn owl. You can see where this inspiration comes in looking at the shape of Nalia’s sleeves and her dramatic mask. The blue and white color combination of Nalia’s own outfit, as well as the snowflake designs on her sleeves, then add to the wintery theme.
Meanwhile, Frigid Foregoer was designed from a concept by Alta. A frozen skeleton, Frigid Foregoer is more obviously winter themed, with icicles hanging from his frozen hat and belt and a blue hue to his bones. Alta mentions in the Epic Games interview that Frigid Foregoer is vengeful, cold and ruthless, but a tweet from Fortnite featuring the gunslinging skeleton and his new friend show a different side to him.
