The Xbox Games with Gold concept is a simple one: every month, you get a handful of free games as part of your subscription. It really,y is as simple as that, and it really is as good as that.
Usually, we see a good spread of free Games with Gold titles that span the Xbox generations too. Though it’s often dominated by games from the Xbox One and 360 generations, occasionally we see something from the original Xbox library which makes for a nice retro change of pace.
Over the years, we had seen and got used to getting a bunch of free games with gold, but it looks as though the service has now been reduced to ‘two free games per month’ – with an Xbox Live Gold subscription anyway, according to the official gold website.
Anyway, every game with gold is available for a certain time period (often a month but not always) and then they are yours to download anytime you want, as long as your subscription is live. And we’ve listed this month’s games, and the time windows below – let’s get to it!
Games with Gold – April 2023
The Xbox Live Gold games this month are:
- Out of Space: Couch Edition – available between April 1st and April 30th
- Peaky Blinders: Mastermind – available between April 16th and May 15th
There are different time windows for these two games, by the way, so be sure to take note of them.
How do I get the free Xbox Live Games?
This is a simple process, and if you’re really after some of the free games, or a particular month grabs your attention then all you need to have to get them is one thing: a live Xbox subscription. Either Xbox Live or Gamepass subscription will make you eligible to claim the games with gold, so if you make sure to buy one, top it up, or find a great deal to get you going, then that’s all you need.
