The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – How to avoid lightning
Getting hit by lighting when you start playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom isn’t the best way to start your gaming experience. Thankfully, we know two ways you can avoid getting hit by lighting!
Firstly, you will acquire many weapons and shields through your journey across the Hyrule Kingdom. While these weapons will help you immensely, they can turn deadly to thunder and lightning. So, our first recommendation to avoid the lighting is to head over to the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower; here, you can find the Emergency Shelter. Make sure to complete the main quest to open the Emergency Shelter.
In the Emergency Shelter, you can find beds you can sleep on. You will have three options, Until Morning, Noon, or Night. Sleep in bed until the following day when the lighting and thunder had stopped. Now, you can continue with your exploration across Hyrule and the Sky Islands. In addition, you can also hide away from the lightning by going into the depths and dungeons.
However, you may wonder what you can do if you aren’t anywhere near the Emergency Shelter or Campsite. The second way to avoid getting hit by lightning is by unequipping your metal weapons or items. All you need to do is go into your inventory and swap out your metal or iron weapons for your Thick Stick.
How to know which weapons will get you hit? When you enter your weapon inventory, you will see which of your weapons light up with yellow, indicating that it will likely get you hit! Unequip that weapon immediately.
