The newest evolution in the popular Capcom Street Fighter series, Street Fighter 6 brings back plenty of fan favorites, as well introducing new characters, gameplay and game modes. Avatar creation will also be a feature for fans to mess around with and making your own character and naming them is all part of the fun. But, if you’re unsatisfied with your choices, how do you change your name in Street Fighter 6?

Changing your name in Street Fighter 6

Unfortunately, like the closed beta that took place in December 2022, once information is entered during the application process it cannot be changed. That means that you’ll need to take your time when filling out the app because your name is final.

What can you change in Street Fighter 6 on your character?

Just because your name is set in stone, it doesn’t mean you can’t change up other parts of your character. Decking out your avatar in new duds is achievable through the Hub Goods Shop, which is available in the multiplayer area Battle Hub along with all sorts of game modes. Items available in the Hub Goods Shop include:

  • Hats
  • Costumes
  • Masks
  • Glasses

The Hub Goods Shop will include plenty of other customizable pieces for characters to enjoy, along with unlockable stages and characters.

Plenty of returning characters are on the roster like Ryu, Chun-Li, Kimberly, Ken, Luke, Juri, Cammy, Guile and newcomers like Jamie will all be ready for the fight in Street Fighter 6, along with plenty of familiar and new stages like Metro City Downtown, Genbu Temple, Tian Hong Yuan, and The Training Room will be included as well, so be sure to check out all of these too.

Street Fighter 6 offers plenty of options for characterization and many distinct game modes like casual matches and ranked matches, training mode, open tournaments, and extreme battle, along with the single-player story mode World Tour for fans to enjoy across multiple platforms. That should more than make up for the lack of game-changing abilities.
