You can compete in tournaments, casual matches, ranked matches, and even take on world tour mode. There is no denying that there is a lot to do in Street Fighter 6. Like many other games, however, it is better with friends. Here is how you invite friends in Street Fighter 6.
How to play online with friends in Street Fighter 6
To play online with friends, you all first need to have a Capcom ID. If you don’t, make one. Once you have an account, link it so Steam, Xbox, or PlayStation. There is no need to download anything except for the game.
With that out of the way, go into the game and past the title screen. From there, you will have a few options for online play. First is the Fighting Grounds. Here, you can invite friends on your Capcom friends list. You can also set up local games here.
The second method of online play is through the battle hub. The hub is an area you can explore with your avatar. You can enter games by interacting with the various consoles. You can even complete tutorials and extreme battles here. Here, you can join friends but only if they are on the same regional server as you.
When you want to participate in different battle types like team battle mode or tournament fights. These fights will get you xp, rewards, and fight money. Just make sure to land a few good combos or you won’t win.
It is important to note that Street Fighter 6 is crossplay and cross-platform compatible. This means that players no matter if they are on PlayStation, Xbox Series X, or PC, they can play online together. All of the different consoles are connected via the battle lounge.
There are many benefits to playing online such as getting rewards and costumes to update your character. In the battle hub, you can make your way to the event counter to participate in challenges to get rewards.
Can you invite friends in offline play?
No, you cannot invite friends for offline play because it is unnecessary. All you need is to have a second controller and a friend to play with. LAN connections will not work.
You can play offline with a friend on the same console by first having two controllers connected. Go into the fighting ground in the game and you can set up a local match. From there, you can each choose from a long list of characters to fight with including Luke, Chun-li, Ken, Ryu, Akuma, and Rashid. There are additional characters that will be coming in DLC.
You can adjust your game experience through the battle hub as well by changing your settings to classic controls. This will give veterans a better feel for the game but you can also use the modern controls. Both control types are great choices for online and offline play.
