Cloud Imperium Games epic space exploration game, Star Citizen, opens a vast universe full of opportunities. The game allows players to try their hand at exploration, combat, and space trading, all neatly wrapped up in their latest title. Taking your character around the universe is all great fun, but if your character gets stuck, you’re going to need some help. Here’s how to reset your character in Star Citizen.

Resetting your character in Star Citizen

Resetting your character in Star Citizen is pretty straightforward. Here’s what you need to do:

Make sure to file a report with the Issue Council as well, explaining what is wrong with your character so the staff can begin making bug fixes. If you’ve already submitted one, add to the previous one already sent.

These methods are used if your in-game avatar is experiencing some known game-breaking bugs, such as not being able to interact with any objects in the game or they are stuck in terrain or objects, and cannot move. This option is a last resort, so try to find workarounds before doing this and avoid the character repair option as best you can!

What happens after resetting character in Star Citizen

After you’ve reset your character, your character will be sent back to your spawn point. Any items you had equipped at the time of the repair will be unequipped and sent back to your inventory, and any equipment or items you were missing will remain lost. This is part of why character repair is a last resort.

Any other options, such as aUEC, reputation, ships, vehicles, and other equipment will remain unaffected by the character reset.

Once reset, your character should be free of any bug or issue they previously had, but make sure to wait an hour after the reset to log back into the game to give it time to repair itself properly.

If the game gives you lots of bugs, check if you’re using the right specs to run it properly.
