Arachnophobia is a phobia that many people suffer from and can keep them from playing a lot of big titles in the gaming industry as they don’t want to go up against the stereotypical giant spider boss. However, something we have seen recently is games adding an Arachnophobia option into accessibility settings. Let’s go over if Jedi Survivor will allow you to turn off spiders.

Will Jedi Survivor Have Arachnophobia Accessibility Settings?

Thankfully, Jedi Survivor does seem to have some settings you can turn on to cut out the spider enemies from the game. Here is how:

  1. Open the options menu.
  2. Navigate to the Accessibility section in the menu on the left.
  3. Scroll down to Gameplay.
  4. Find the Arachnophobia Safe Mode option.
  5. Toggle it to On.

While this will give a sigh of relief from some, it does also mean that you will have once less source of XP and drops as the spiders don’t seem to be replaced by anything. This can go even further as it could cut out a whole spider boss fight if the setting just removes all spiders instead of replacing them.

This is following the trend started by Grounded, as the game had a large feature on giant spider enemies. This was a large turn-off for many layers as spiders can be quite horrifying up close and when they are larger than you.

To alleviate this issue, a setting was put in that allowed players to remove detail from the spiders until they were nothing more than blobs. While this did make combat a bit harder, it also made them easier to look at for many players.

While Jedi Survivor seems to be following this trend a bit, they are taking a slightly different approach to it. The removal of spider enemies with the Arachnophobia setting seems to just remove the enemies from the game.

This seems like a bit of an oversight if there are no replacements for any of the spiders removed. Even just having some other creatures native to Kashyyyk to fill in the areas where spiders should have been could be a nice fix.

However, we won’t know fully how this setting will work until the release of Jedi Survivor. What we do know ahead of time is how the game will handle ultrawide monitors on both PC and consoles.
