GoldenEye 007 will be returning in a remaster for both the Nintendo Switch and for the Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. So, has anything changed with the game?

According to reports, the Xbox version will have smoother frame rate and improvement, but what about added content. Well, for Nintendo, we might see more changes, so is GoldenEye 007 on Switch multiplayer?

GoldenEye 007 on Switch will have online multiplayer

Yes, that’s right, the GoldenEye 007 remaster will have an online multiplayer! Online multiplayer modes will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of the game, as Nintendo is using the original game, unlike Xbox unfortunately.

Nintendo is releasing GoldenEye 007 as part of its Nintendo Switch Online service. N64 games were added to the service back in 2021. However, you’re going to have to splash out on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier for access.

GoldenEye 007 remaster on Xbox will not have online multiplayer

Yes, unfortunately, GoldenEye 007 on Xbox will be missing out on the online multiplayer.

Instead of this, Microsoft has made a recreation of GoldenEye 007 tailor made for the Xbox. It will include a local multiplayer mode for split screen with friends, much like the old game, but will not be getting online multiplayer.

Both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles will be able to access the GoldenEye 007 Xbox version come release day.
